📖Definition: The percentage of recurring revenue retained from existing customers over a period, including upgrades/expansions, minus downgrades and churn
📊Why it matters: It shows whether a business can grow even without new customers—high NDR often signals strong product value and pricing power
💡Example: If you start the year with $100k in recurring revenue, lose $10k to churn, and gain $25k from expansions, NDR = ($100k - $10k + $25k) / $100k = 115%
