Free Cash Flow Yield
📖Definition: Free cash flow (FCF) divided by a company’s market value (or per share: FCF per share ÷ price). It shows how much “real cash” the business generates relative to what investors are paying.
📊Why it matters: It helps you compare companies (or the same company over time) on a cash-generation basis—often more telling than earnings. Higher FCF yield can signal better value (or higher perceived risk)
💡Example: If a company generates $5B in free cash flow and its market cap is $100B, its FCF yield is 5%.
