📖Definition: The amount of free cash flow a company generates in a year divided by its market value, usually expressed as a percentage. It shows how much cash the business produces for each dollar of its stock price
📊Why it matters: A higher free cash flow yield can signal a company that’s generating strong cash relative to its price—often attractive to value investors and those looking for sustainable dividends or buybacks
💡Example: If a company has a market value of $10 billion and generates $800 million in free cash flow, its free cash flow yield is 8%. Investors may see that as more appealing than a similar company with only a 3% yield
